Email Services - Performance & Delays
Updates
After monitoring this situation over night, we’re delighted to confirm all services are back to normal.
No emails were missed during this time and all sent emails, although error warnings were provided, were still delivered.
We’re sorry again for any inconvenience or frustration this caused.
Normal service has been resumed.
Email sending & receiving is working normally and at usual fast speeds.
We’re really sorry for any inconvenience or worry the error messages caused.
We’ll continue to monitor this over the next 24-48 hours, but all our tests over lunch have been successful.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
We’re aware of delays and time outs occurring when trying to send & receive emails across Mobile Apps, Webmail & mail client applications, such as Outlook & Thunderbird.
Emails are still being sent & received, however you may be getting ‘The message could not be sent’ or ‘Connection to the remote server timed out’ warnings.
Whilst these warnings are appearing, emails sent are still being delivered.
That being said, our tests show that email sending & receiving are currently being delayed by 5-10 minutes.
We’ve reported these issues directly to Open X-Change, who are working on a fix.
We’re sorry for the inconvenience and will update this status page once we know more.
